How to Control of red pumpkin beetle in pumpkin and ridge gourd crop

  • Destroy the remains of the old crop.
  • if the insect appears in the early stage of the crop, destroy them by hands.
  • Spray Cypermethrin 25% EC 150 ml/acre + Dimethoate 30% EC 300 ml /acre or
  • Carbaryl 50% WP 400 gm/acre at fortnight intervals starting from 25 days after sowing to control the pest.
  • Spraying with Dichlorvos (DDVP) 76% EC @ 250-350 ml/acre gives satisfactory control of the pest.

  • The farmers would have to submit their fingerprints for registration.
  • Farmers would also have to provide the photo-copy of some important documents like Aadhar card, Janadhar card / Bhamashah card, photocopy of bank passbook, and the date and serial number of P-35 of Girdawari.
  • It should be noted that only one farmer can register with one mobile number. For registration, the farmer will have to pay Rs 31.

The story of MP’s influential farmers’ will be shown on the silver screen.

The MP Government and the Central Government have decided to make a movie on the story of those farmers who are producing a tremendous quantity of crops on small farms. Most of these farmers are earning millions from their small fields.

With this move, the Government aims to inspire and encourage other small farmers of the nation, so that they can also increase their production through these advanced farming methods. The task of making this film has been given to an organization in Gujarat. The team will soon start its research work from Sheopur in the coming month.

Farmer Trilok Toshniwal from Zaida village turned his 8 bighas rocky land into a fertile farm with his hard work and patience. Then he began growing pomegranate and other fruit plants on this farm, and today he is earning 15 to 20 lakhs per anum from the same field. Now, his story will also be shown in the film.

How to identify Gummy Stem blight disease in the pumpkin, watermelon, melon crop.

  • In this disease, infection is visible on almost every part of the plant except the roots.
  • A Yellowness/greenness occurs at the edges of the leaves, while spots start occurring on their surfaces. 
  • The wound is formed on the stem of the plant which is infected by this disease. Then a black-coloured gummy substance starts releasing from this wound. 
  • On the string, brown spots become black spots which later go to the wound.
  • In bottle gourd seeds have medium-brown, dark spots.
