The monsoon has now reached its final stage in the entire country and the moving monsoon rains have made the weather pleasant in many states. Significantly, this year the monsoon rainfall has increased by 15%. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of strong rains and thunderstorms in different parts of the country including Madhya Pradesh in the coming two days.
Talking about the weather forecast for the next 24 hours, there are some moderate to heavy rains that have been predicted in Konkan Goa including Bihar, eastern and central parts of Uttar Pradesh, northern and central parts of Madhya Pradesh, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, and Mumbai. Apart from this, light to moderate rains is likely to occur at one or two places over Northeast India, Vidarbha, Marathwada, and parts of Central Maharashtra, with light to moderate rains over South Gujarat.
