Importance of calcium for watermelon crop

  • Calcium deficiency in watermelon crops causes a physical disorder.

  • Due to which there is rotting in the watermelon fruit, this disorder is not caused by any insect or disease . It is caused by a lack of calcium

  • If there is a deficiency of calcium in the soil, then the plant is unable to fulfill it, there are signs of deficiency in fruits.

  • To overcome its deficiency, use calcium nitrate @ 10 kg/acre as soil treatment.
