The government is making many efforts to increase the production of edible oil in the country. In this series, in order to increase the yield of pulses and oilseeds crops in the Kharif season, high yielding seed kits up to 13.51 lakh were distributed in the year 2021-22. The government is also making efforts in other areas to increase the production of oilseeds. In this, the government is paying more attention to palm oil.

For this “National Edible Oil – Palm Oil Mission” has been started and it has been decided to spend Rs.11040 crore under this. It has been decided to increase the assistance amount for planting palm trees by farmer brothers for Mission Palm Oil. Under this, where earlier 12 thousand rupees were given per hectare, now it has been increased to 29 thousand rupees.
