Varieties should be selected according to the agro-climatic zone. In the light land and rain-fed areas where average rainfall is between 600 to 750 mm. There should be early duration (90-95 days) variety. Medium type loamy land and 750 to 1000 mm in areas with moderate rainfall, in the medium-duration varieties, should be used to mature in 100 to 105 days. Late varieties should be sown in areas with excess rainfall from 1250 mm and heavy land. It should be noted that the seed germination capacity is more than 70% and the number of plants for the good harvest in the field should be 40 plants per square meter, only the suitable varieties of seed should be selected.

    • JS 20-29 is a new high yielding variety approx 10-12q/acre. which has been developed by Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya.
    • High germinability, multiple diseases resistant.  
    • The leaf is pointed, oval and dark green. The branches three to four, medium to tall approx 100 cm.
    • Flower color is white.

 

  • It is an early maturing variety, duration 90-95 days, having bold seeds (Seed weight- 13 gram per 100 seeds ).

  • JS 20-34 is a new high yielding variety approx 8-10 q/acre which has been developed by Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya.
  • High germinability, multiple diseases resistant.
  • It is Thermo-insensitive, dwarf, glabrous variety with light pod color.
  • It is an Extra early variety, duration 87 days.
  • Most suitable for low and medium rainfall and light to medium soils.

Best source of sulphur application in soyabean

Soybean is a Oilseed crop in which sulphur plays the role as an important element, although sulphur is given in many forms, but by giving sulphur 80% WDG as spraying, it also works as fungicide and miticide, so use sulphur 80% WDG @ 50 gm / 15 liters of water.
