- As gram is sowed during the Rabi season it is very sensitive to pest infestation
- There are a lot of green caterpillar attacks in the gram crop. The color of this caterpillar can vary between green and brown. This caterpillar feeds by scraping the leaves of the gram crop.
- Its infestation causes a lot of damage to the leaves of gram and to undeveloped fruits and flowers.
- For the prevention of this pest,use Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC @ 60 ml / acre or Novaluron 5.25 %+ Emamectin Benzoate 0.9 SC @ 600 ml / acre or Profenofos 40% + Cypermethrin 4% EC @ 400 ml / acre or Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG @ 100 gram / acre.
- As a biological treatment Spraying of Beauveria bassiana @ 250 gram / acre.
