PM Modi gave the green signal to the 100th Kisan Rail
During the lockdown this year, the farmers had a lot of difficulty in getting their produce to other places. Keeping this problem in mind, Kisan Rails were run. Now in this episode, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the 100th Kisan Rail.
This train will run from Sangola in Maharashtra to Shalimar in West Bengal. It already operates 99 Kisan Rails in 14 states. Through this Kisan Rail, the produce of farmers including many fruits and vegetables will be sent to another place.
This 100th Kisan Rail will run from Sangola in Maharashtra to Shalimar in West Bengal, which will cover a distance of more than 2100 km. The train will pass through five states, including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and West Bengal.

Now farmers will be given subsidies of up to 50% in freight on sending fruits and vegetables by rail. This includes fruits such as mango, banana, guava, kiwi, litchi, papaya, orange, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, pomegranate, jackfruit, apple, almond, amla and rhubarb, and peas, bitter gourd, brinjal, carrot, capsicum, flowers The transportation of vegetables like cabbage, green chilies, cucumbers, legumes, garlic, onions, tomatoes, potatoes will be included.
This system of subsidy on freight movement of fruits and vegetables has been implemented from Wednesday. Not only the farmer but any person can take advantage of this subsidy and the farmer can send fruits and vegetables for only 50% of the fare through rail. It is worth mentioning that in the budget of this financial year, the government announced to run special parcel train ‘Kisan Rail’.

To transport farmer’s produce to different locations ‘Kisan Train’ was started on 20 August from Indian Railways. By this train farmers’ products like fruits, flowers, vegetables, milk and curd will be transported to other parts of the country soon.
This train will start from Devlali in Maharashtra and will go to Danapur in Bihar. This train will cover a total distance of 1519 km in 32 hours. With this train, farmers of Madhya Pradesh will also be able to bring their produce to another destination soon.
According to the Railway Ministry, this train will be stopped at many stations in Madhya Pradesh to give its benefit to the farmers of Madhya Pradesh. This train will stop at Burhanpur, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna, Katni and Manikpur etc. stations of Madhya Pradesh.
