Grant of up to Rs 31 lakh on opening a dairy

In Indian agriculture, after farming, the most profitable work is the dairy business. That is why most of the farmers keep cows or buffaloes in their homes. By rearing these animals, farmers are assured of daily income. Many farmers even earn a good amount of money by opening dairy farms. Many beneficial schemes are also being run by the government to encourage dairy business, the main objective of which is to increase milk production in the country as well as increase the income of farmers.

The Uttar Pradesh government is also running a special scheme which can prove beneficial for the farmers wishing to start a dairy business. This scheme is the ‘Nandini Krishak Samridhi’ scheme running under the ‘Nand Baba Mission’ started by the government. Under this scheme, the government is giving a subsidy of up to Rs 31 lakh for starting the dairy industry. Through this scheme, the government has set a target of starting a total of 35 units having 25 milch cows and for this, a subsidy of up to Rs 31 lakh will be provided to each unit. Interested farmers can apply to avail the benefits of the scheme. If the number of applicants exceeds then the beneficiaries will be selected through e-lottery under the chairmanship of “Chief Development Officer”.
