  • This disease occurs due to excessive water accumulation in the field.

  • In this disease, dark brown-green water-soaked spots are formed on the stems.

  • The whole plant rotes and dies in the final stages.

  • To prevent this disease, seeds should be treated with Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 64% [Carmanova] @ 3 gm/ kg seed.

  • Make a solution of Kasugamycin 5% + Copper Oxychloride 45 WP [Conika] 300 gm or Mancozeb 64% + Metalaxyl 8% WP [Sanchar] @ 600 gm/acre and do drenching twice at 10 days interval.

  • For biological control, prepare a solution of Trichoderma viridi [Rhizocare] @ 1 kg + Pseudomonas fluorescens [crop protector] @ 1 kg in 200 litres of water and drenching one acre of the field with this solution.
