A great news is coming for the farmers doing horticulture farming. This good news is for the farmers of Bihar. In fact, this time guava has also been included under the Chief Minister’s Horticulture Mission scheme already being run by the Chief Minister of the state, Nitish Kumar. This means that now subsidy will also be given on guava cultivation. Please tell that at present the farmers of Patna district can take advantage of this scheme. Gradually this scheme can be started in other districts also.

According to media reports, the Bihar government has set a target of setting up guava orchards in an area of 5 hectares in the Patna district. To fulfil this target, a 50% subsidy amount is being given by the government to the farmers for planting guava orchards. The thing to note here is that only those farmers who will plant guava orchards on 25 decimal lands will be given this subsidy.

Under this scheme, guava, banana, papaya and mango orchards can be planted. Under this, to get a subsidy, farmers can apply by visiting the official website of the Horticulture Department, horticulture.bihar.gov.in.
