Now ‘Kisan Rail’ will give 50% subsidy in the transportation of fruits and vegetables

Now farmers will be given subsidies of up to 50% in freight on sending fruits and vegetables by rail. This includes fruits such as mango, banana, guava, kiwi, litchi, papaya, orange, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, pomegranate, jackfruit, apple, almond, amla and rhubarb, and peas, bitter gourd, brinjal, carrot, capsicum, flowers The transportation of vegetables like cabbage, green chilies, cucumbers, legumes, garlic, onions, tomatoes, potatoes will be included.

This system of subsidy on freight movement of fruits and vegetables has been implemented from Wednesday. Not only the farmer but any person can take advantage of this subsidy and the farmer can send fruits and vegetables for only 50% of the fare through rail. It is worth mentioning that in the budget of this financial year, the government announced to run special parcel train ‘Kisan Rail’.

Madhya Pradesh leads in procurement of Rabi crops on MSP

According to data released by the Food Corporation of India, 43 lakh 35 thousand 477 farmers have availed the minimum support price for the purchase of rabi crops in the year 2020-21. 389.77 lakh metric tonnes of food grains have been procured including all farmers. Maximum 15 lakh 93 thousand 793 farmers of Madhya Pradesh have availed the minimum support price.

Punjab fell behind Madhya Pradesh this time in the production of wheat, the most prominent of the rabi crops. This is the reason why Punjab’s farmers have reached the second position this year in taking advantage of the minimum support price. According to FCI data, 10 lakh 49 thousand 982 farmers of Punjab have availed MSP for Rabi crop. Apart from this, 7 lakh 82 thousand 240 farmers of Haryana, 6 lakh 63 thousand 810 of Uttar Pradesh and 2 lakh 18 thousand 638 farmers of Rajasthan have availed minimum support price by selling their crops through फसी.

Buy irrigation equipment under this scheme, will get 80% to 90% subsidy

Crop irrigation has an important place in agricultural works and keeping this in mind, the government started the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojna. Under this scheme, farmers get subsidies on the purchase of irrigation equipment.

Under this scheme, up to 80% subsidy is provided to general farmers, up to 90% subsidy is given to small and micro farmers. Farmers can apply online for this scheme.

The farmers have to submit the application along with the bill to the office after purchasing the irrigation equipment from the registered firm. When the application is approved, farmers are given an 80 to 90% subsidy on the cost. For this scheme, 75% grant is given by the center, while 25% is spent by the state government.

Mandi Bhaw: What are the prices of vegetables in different mandis of Madhya Pradesh?

The price of vegetables such as tomato, cabbage, cauliflower, brinjal, okra, gourd, etc. is Rs 700, 825, 1025, 850, and 900 per quintal in Sendhwa Mandi of Barwani district under Indore division.

Apart from this, the wheat market price of mill quality in Momanbododia mandi of Shajapur district under Ujjain division is Rs 1934 per quintal and in this mandi, the price of soybean is Rs 3765 per quintal.

Talk about the market price of a gram, lentil, and soybean in Piparai mandi of Ashok Nagar district under Gwalior division is Rs 4775, 5200, and Rs 3665 per quintal respectively. In Gwalior’s Bhind mandi, millet is Rs 1290 per quintal and in Khaniyadhana mandi the mill quality wheat price is Rs 1925 per quintal.

Government will buy more cotton on MSP this year than last year

The harvesting of Kharif crops is going on and the government has started preparations for its purchase at the support price. This year, the government has increased the target of cotton procurement compared to last year. This year, a target has been set to purchase 125 lakh bales of cotton at the minimum support price.

It is worth noting that one knot weighs 170 kg and last year the government procured 105.24 lakh bales of cotton. The government is preparing to buy about 20 lakh bales more this year.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the expenditure on the purchase of cotton is estimated to be Rs 35,000 crore. At the same time, this expenditure was Rs 28,500 crore in the last Kharif season. The Ministry estimates that this year the production of cotton may increase to 360 million bales, which is more than 357 lakh bales as compared to last year.

MP Government will give compensation of 4000 crores to farmers distressed due to weather

On this subject, CM Shivraj Chauhan has said that “the entire assistance amount will be provided to the farmers affected by floods and pest-sickness in the state”. It is important to note that due to floods and pest diseases in the state, crops in about 40 lakh hectare area have been affected, for which compensation of about Rs 4,000 crore is expected. Last year, crops of about 60 lakh hectare area were damaged in the state, and compensation of Rs 2000 crore was distributed to the farmers.

Farmers of MP will be able to sell paddy on MSP from this date, registration process is going on

The Kharif season is in its last phase and harvesting of crops like paddy has started. In such a situation, the Madhya Pradesh government has fixed the date of purchase of paddy at the minimum support price (MSP). Paddy procurement will start from the 25th of November next month.
