How to control semi looper in soybean crop

How to control semi looper in soybean crop
  • Semilooper heavily attacks the soybean crop. Causes loss of up to 30-40% in the total yield of the soybean crop. Its outbreak occurs from the initial stages of the soybean crop.

  •  Infestation of this larva in soybean crops, when it is in the flowering or pod-forming stage, causes significant loss in soybean yield.

  • For mechanical control of this pest, do deep ploughing of the vacant field in summer. Sow insect-resistant varieties. Plant insect-attracting crops like marigold, mustard etc. around the main field and on the edge of the field. To control the pest, make proper arrangements of irrigation and fertilizer from time to time.
