Ia terletak kira- kira 32 km di barat Kuala Lumpur dan merupakan bandar ketiga terbesar di Selangor.Selain itu, Klang bersempadan dengan daerah Petaling di sebelah timur, daerah Kuala Langat di sebelah selatan manakala Kuala Selangor di sebelah utaranya.
